(1) The influence of powder properties
Powders with high hardness, low plasticity, and high friction have poor compaction performance, which can be appropriately improved by adding lubricants or forming agents; When the powder purity is low and the oxygen content is high, the compaction performance is poor, and reducing treatment of the raw powder can overcome it; Single fine or coarse particle powders, as well as powders with regular shapes, have unsatisfactory compaction performance. Using mixed particle size powders and powders with complex particle shapes can improve compaction performance.
(2) The impact of the suppression process
The smoother the surface of the forming mold, the higher the hardness, and the greater the rigidity, which is more conducive to the improvement and uniformity of the density of the damaged body; The density of the green body using bidirectional pressing is higher and more uniform than that using unidirectional pressing; The lower the compression speed and the longer the holding time, the more beneficial it is to increase the density of the billet, especially for large or complex shaped grinding tools.
